Eastern Europe: The Murder of Jews and Jewish Murderers in the Early Modern Period

This study seeks to examine the level of the judicial autonomy of the Jewish community in Galicia during the first half of the 17th century, until the Cossack riots of 1648, and its situation vis a vis the Magdeburg rights. It also seeks to explore the status of Jews as individuals and as a community vis a vis the general courts.
